I had my heating and air installed in January 17,2024 and we normally just turn it on when we have company or get together here at the house , it usually blow air but not cold enough and we thought that's normal and when the installation was completed we were promised that someone form Guthrie will call in 6 months for follow up but that did not happen , so now that it has been 7 months that we had the HVAC i decided to call Guthrie to make an appointment to have it check and Rob M came 08/09/24 and i showed him the furnace in the garage and he knew right away that the heating and air was not installed correctly , i am just hoping that this experience does not happen to anybody else and please have Guthrie management make aware of it to support and maintain your " Lifetime Workmanship guarantee to ensure your system holds the same integrity it did from the first day you owned it ."Rob M - Very professional and great customer service .Thank youAser Pineda

Absolute Lifesavers!If I could give Guthrie & Sons and Zach M. more than 5 stars, I would! San Diego is melting under this heat wave, and my A/C decided to take a vacation. After calling 5-6 different HVAC companies (all of whom acted like I was asking them to perform rocket surgery), Guthrie & Sons were the only ones who came to my rescue.They squeezed me into their packed schedule and sent over Zach M., who arrived like a knight in shining armor—well, more like a knight with an HVAC toolbelt, but you get the idea! Zach was not only super knowledgeable and thorough, but also just an all-around great human being. He patiently explained what was going on, didn’t mind my 20 questions, and worked like a magician on my poor, exhausted unit. The guy probably sweats Freon with how effortlessly he fixed everything!Zach’s combination of expertise and top-tier customer service is what every company should strive for. Thanks to him and Guthrie & Sons, my house is cool again, and I can stop pretending I live in an oven. If you’re in need of HVAC magic, stop looking—Zach M. and Guthrie & Sons are the team to call!

They offered an impractical and useless solution to try and refresh the Freon ($4000) without a pressure test. Freon went up into the atmosphere within a week. Wasted $4000 and still no A/C. Gave them a chance to rectify by applying $4000 to the cost of a new unit. Their cost for a new unit AFTER applying the $4000 credit was still $5000 more than an alternate supplier or HVAC company. Bad judgement and integrity and bad pricing.

Was extremely pleased with entire experience using Guthrie and Sons. Every detail was handled with skill, courtesy, and professionalism; all at a price that meet or beat other quotes we received.Special thanks to Joe Patrick for patiently answering my questions and accurately assessing our needs and existing system ...without trying to oversell.Big thanks also to Wayne and Ben for the great job they did with installation. Their skill and experience were obvious. They were neat and clean from start to finish, not just in leaving our home & yard tidy, but in the details of the installation itself (e.g., solder joints, duct work, wiring, taping, etc.). I also appreciate how personable & articulate they were in explaining our new system, thermostat, options, etc..Finally, a shout out to the office & scheduling staff (Amy and ???). Every call and inquiry was answered quickly, politely, and efficiently.I can't imagine a better experience. We've now had our new AC/Heating system a full 3 months and it continues to work superbly and has been completely trouble free.-----------------------Update Sept 2024: Seven years after initial installation and system still running great. Have never received anything less than superb service from all Guthrie staff. Would highly recommend.

Mario has a strong work ethic along with a high empathy factor. Guthrie should be very proud of Mario as an employee. My wife has fibromyalgia and gets extremely ill due to the heat. Mario took it upon himself to gather a portable air-condition unit so my wife could cool down since she was feeling ill from the heat. Our technician Rob was awesome. Very professional. No up sell. Fixed our AC quickly.
Zach came out the same day and offered us some solutions and advice. He even looked at the warranty data for our unit, which was installed by a different company, to see if we could get any of the repairs done for free. He tried to minimize cost to us while maximizing the effectiveness of solutions, and was very friendly.
